Questions and answers
How much does a studio move in JVC cost?
A studio move within JVC starts from AED 600. Larger apartments, longer distances, packing and storage are quoted by the crew from your list of items, before move day.
How much does a villa move cost?
A three-bedroom villa or townhouse move starts from AED 2,500, depending on volume, distance and packing.
Do I need a move-in or move-out permit?
In most JVC buildings and many villa communities, yes. Building or community management usually issues it, and may ask for your tenancy contract or ownership document, Emirates ID and sometimes a refundable deposit. Apply a few working days before the move.
Who books the service lift?
Usually you do, through building management, often as part of the move permit. Ask which lift you can use, the allowed time slot and whether lift protection is required, and pass that to the crew.
What is the best time of day to move in summer?
Early morning. From June to September the midday heat is hard on the crew and on furniture, electronics and anything that can melt in a truck. Many buildings also restrict moving hours, so book the earliest slot allowed.
How far ahead should I book?
One to two weeks for most apartments, longer for villas and at the end of the month or in summer, when many leases turn over.
Do crews move on Fridays and public holidays?
Some do, but many buildings restrict moves on those days. Check the rules of your building first, then mention the date when you request a quote.
